With the hashtag UNESCO’s 42th session of the General Conference in the rearview mirror – with the expressed need for #greening #education and the #COP28UAE in full swing, I am pleased to share the first trailer of my hashtag #ecoherolab TV series with you.
FILMING of our #ECOHEROLAB TV Series kicked-off in Brussels, Belgium on May 5th
The “Eco Hero Lab” project is both a school project and an online portal that offers “edutainment” for children. It introduces kids to ethical and engaged citizenship in a way that captures their attention and stays with them in the long term. It was designed to teach kids about sustainable development, social responsibility and environmental preservation, and is supported by various educational resources, including a comic book available in Dutch, English and French, a teacher’s manual and classroom assignments.
In addition to helping children learn about how to live sustainably, the initiative aims to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education, by creating resilient planet protectors who might consider pursuing careers in the green and social economy in the future.
Filming of the pilot for the TV-project took place at #BelExpo in Brussels on May 5, 2023, coinciding with the seventh annual “Day of the Eco Hero”.

Pamela Peeters is an environmental economist and sustainability strategist consulting with companies globally and developing educational programs for youth with her Eco-Hero program, now established in five countries.
ECO HERO LAB
In the “Eco Hero Lab” you will get tips on how to BECOME an Eco Hero with the help of Pamela Peeters, an environmental economist and creator of this global educational project. The reading corner offers materials that introduce sustainable development, social responsibility and environmental preservation to international audiences.
